Dimitra Diamantidou, Ph.D., provides technical and scientific support to Keller and Heckman attorneys and their clients in determining the regulatory status of food additives and food packaging. Her background in analytical chemistry enables her to assist clients in developing practical strategies to obtain required data for the preparation of agency filings for clients in the chemical, plastics, and packaging industries.  

Dimitra develops test protocols for overall and specific migration testing and the migration of oligomers and other non-intentionally added substances (NIAS) in support of petition dossiers and opinion letters. She also assists in preparing petitions to the European Food Safety Authority (EFSA) and other EU national authorities, such as the Dutch CBVV and the German BfR.

Prior to joining Keller and Heckman, Dimitra was an Analytical Scientist at the DTU National Food Institute for the European Reference Laboratory of Processing Contaminants (EURL-PC) in Denmark where she developed analytical methods to identify processing contaminants, provided scientific advice to National Reference Laboratories, and organized proficiency tests. While obtaining a Ph.D. in analytical chemistry, she devised multiple methods for the determination of the migration of cyclic oligomers from food contact materials and the exposure assessment.
